Healthcare has the potential for reaching new audiences through game play and rewards based health information. Even a simple game that encourages healthy behavior and brings positive PR for healthcare is a step in the right direction. I brought an idea to the table at a 2-day workshop for Medicaid that senior leaders spent shaping and exploring.
The Product Development team was looking for ideas to effectively engage our Medicaid members to create a positive member experience which will drive improved health outcomes. My idea was chosen and developed as an incentive based gaming app that allowed kids to collect rewards based on identifying positive behaviors in pseudo virtual reality style video content that appeals to a bi-lingual audience. Using surveys and easter egg content to help drive behavior changes over a longer engagement period of time.
